Peaceful Beginnings
The service includes:
- Meet and greet – just to get to know each other.
- First prenatal meeting – we will develop a birth plan to establish your preferences and discuss the difference between my role and your partner’s in supporting you. We will go over the changes that will happen before during and after labor. Ill give recommendations on what to pack for delivery and target informational resources for your areas of interest.
- Second prenatal meeting – we will review the birth and recovery process. We will then focus on pain management, including discussing your preferred relaxation tools and hands-on comfort measures.
- Phone/text support – any questions or concerns you have, feel free to ask me.
- On-Call Availability – I will be ready to support you 24/7 from 2 weeks prior to your due date, up until you go into labor.
- Continuous support through active labor and birth – once labor has begun and you have asked me to come, I will be there to support and remind you how amazing you are.
- Optional use of TENS unit – TENS is a safe, non-drug method of pain control during labor.
- Optional birth photography – when I have a free hand, I will grab a camera and snap. I am not a substitute for a professional photographer, but I can often capture special moments over the course of your labor.
- 1 postpartum visit (within your 1st week home) – we will discuss your labor and delivery. We will also address postpartum emotional and physical health. During this time I can provide resources and references as needed.
- Lactation Support – I will assist with you and baby’s first latch in birth location. We can also discuss any breastfeeding questions or concerns during our postpartum meeting.
- Phone/text support – any postpartum or newborn care questions you have, for up to 2 weeks postpartum.

"Nikkita was very helpful during the journey. As a first time parent I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I felt confident with Kita by our side."
